How can I register for the e-bill service?
You can register for the e-bill service in your e-banking under “e-bill”. For information about billers, please visit www.e-rechnung.ch.
My name has changed. Where can I make the necessary amendment?
In the case of a change of name, please contact your bank's e-banking support.
My e-mail address has changed. Where must I enter the new e-mail address so that I receive e-mail notifications at this new e-mail address?
You can change your e-mail address directly in e-banking in your e-bill personal settings.
My address has changed. I have already notified my bank, but the old address is still displayed when registering with a biller.
Changes of address must be made in the e-banking master data (please log into e-banking and make the necessary amendments to your personal profile). Should this not be possible in e-banking, please contact your bank's e-banking support.
I am going to switch banks and in future would like to receive and pay e-bills via my new e-banking account. What do I need to do?
You can register with the new bank using your existing Paynet number/ participant number (PID) and your e-bill activation code. When doing so, please state that you are already an e-bill participant. Please first deregister from the e-bill service with the bank that you are leaving as a customer. However, please do not deregister from the billers.
The detailed procedure is as follows:
1. Make a note of your Paynet participant number (PID) in your current bank's e-banking application.
2. Obtain an activation code in the e-banking application by going to the e-bill menu.
3. Deregister from e-bills in the current e-banking application but do not deregister from the billers.
Please note that, depending on the bank at which you are currently a customer, you may receive a new activation code following deregistration.
4. Log into your new bank's e-banking application. Under “e-bill”, state that you are already an e-bill customer.
5. Give your participant number and activation code.
All of your bills and all of the billers that you are registered with are now shown in the new e-banking application.
If you no longer know your Paynet number/participant number and activation code, please contact your existing or new bank to obtain the information you need.
Please note that this procedure cannot be used if you are switching from PostFinance to a bank, or vice-versa. In such a case you must deregister from your current bank's e-banking application (and from the billers) and reregister for e-banking with your new bank.

I have forgotten my Paynet number/participant number (PID). Who can I contact?

I do not yet have a Paynet number/participant number (PID). Where can I obtain these?
You receive your Paynet number/participant number when you register for the e-bill service with your bank. You register directly by going to the relevant menu item in e-banking (depending on the bank, this will be “e-bill” or “e-bill Paynet”).
I have registered with a biller but am not receiving any e-bills.
Please contact your biller directly. They will be able to tell you whether a bill has been sent as an e-bill and to which participant number. Please then check this participant number in e-banking (to see whether it corresponds to the participant number given by the biller).
Why am I receiving e-mails from “email@example.com” without any additional information about the biller or the bank?
You receive e-mails from “firstname.lastname@example.org” if you register in the e-banking application to receive these notifications. For data protection reasons, e-mails from “email@example.com” do not contain the name of the biller or the bank.
